Mumbai, October 30, 2026: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) reported its highest-ever quarterly profit for the September quarter of FY27, supported by strong earnings from its oil-to-chemicals (O2C) business and continued growth in Jio Platforms.
The Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate posted a 33.8% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹29,550 crore, marking a new quarterly record. Its gross revenue climbed 27.8% to ₹3,62,268 crore, crossing the ₹3.62 lakh crore milestone for the first time.
The company’s consolidated EBITDA increased 23.9% to a record ₹62,409 crore. Reliance also achieved another milestone as its net profit for the first half of the financial year exceeded ₹50,000 crore for the first time.
Oil-to-Chemicals Business Leads Growth
Reliance’s oil-to-chemicals business emerged as a major growth driver during the quarter. Segment EBITDA surged 67.9% year-on-year to a record ₹25,203 crore, while revenue increased 44.2% to ₹2,31,601 crore.
The strong performance was primarily driven by improved refining margins for transportation fuels and polyester margins reaching their highest levels in three years.
Despite disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, Reliance maintained crude oil supplies by sourcing from multiple regions, including Latin America, North America and the Mediterranean. This helped the company achieve record crude processing volumes and support domestic fuel demand.
Jio, Retail and Media Businesses Contribute
Jio Platforms continued to strengthen Reliance’s earnings through growth in revenue and profitability.
Reliance Retail expanded its physical presence by opening 303 new stores during the quarter while strengthening its digital commerce operations.
The company’s media business, JioStar, also registered revenue growth. Meanwhile, revenue from its oil and gas segment remained largely stable, although coal bed methane (CBM) production increased.
Focus on New Energy Investments
Alongside its strong financial performance, Reliance continued investing in new energy projects as part of its long-term business diversification strategy.
The record quarterly results highlight the contribution of Reliance’s diversified businesses, particularly refining, telecom and retail, to its overall financial performance despite volatility in global energy markets.
