House-Help Startup Snabbit Reports ₹195 Crore Loss in FY26 as Expansion Costs Surge
Bengaluru-based house-help startup Snabbit reported a net loss of ₹195 crore in the financial year 2025-26, highlighting the high costs of expanding its on-demand home services business.
The company recorded operating revenue of approximately ₹12 crore during the year, according to financial statements cited in an Economic Times report dated October 17.
Snabbit, which began operations in August 2024, completed its first full financial year in FY26. Its rising expenses reflect significant investments in employee hiring, marketing, technology and business expansion.
Expenses Rise to ₹195 Crore
Snabbit’s total expenditure reached ₹195 crore during FY26, significantly exceeding its operating revenue.
The company’s major expenses included ₹48.7 crore in marketing costs, ₹46 crore in employee benefit expenses and ₹63.1 crore in service-related costs.
It also incurred around ₹1.4 crore in expenses related to uniforms for service professionals.
The high spending reflects the company’s strategy of rapidly expanding its network of household service providers.
Snabbit Expands Across 100 Micro-Markets
Despite the financial losses, Snabbit has reported strong growth in customer demand and service operations.
The startup currently handles approximately 35,000 daily jobs across 100 micro-markets, according to the report.
Founder and CEO Aayush Agarwal said the company is focused on increasing operating leverage, improving service delivery and creating greater network density.
He explained that the investments required to build the business are reflected in the company’s current financial performance.
Revenue Growth Remains a Key Focus
Snabbit operates in the rapidly growing on-demand household services market, offering services such as general cleaning, dishwashing and laundry.
The company aims to make household assistance more accessible through its app-based platform.
According to Agarwal, Snabbit has experienced strong growth in its operations, supported by rising demand for convenient home services in urban areas.
However, the company continues to face challenges in balancing rapid expansion with profitability.
Competition Intensifies in Home Services
Snabbit competes with established players such as Urban Company and emerging startups including Pronto.
Urban Company has also entered the instant home services segment, increasing competition in the market.
The growing demand for professional household assistance has attracted investor interest, but companies must manage high operational costs and customer acquisition expenses.
Snabbit Raises Funding for Expansion
Snabbit has secured funding from investors including Nexus Venture Partners, Lightspeed and Elevation Capital.
The company is using investor capital to expand operations, strengthen technology and improve service availability.
As competition increases, Snabbit’s ability to improve operational efficiency and reduce losses will be important for its long-term growth.
The company’s FY26 results highlight both the opportunities and financial challenges facing India’s rapidly expanding on-demand home services sector.
