ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned an additional 66.68 MW of solar capacity at its hybrid renewable energy project in Bikaner, taking the project’s operational capacity to 200.04 MW and the company’s total operational portfolio to around 3,190 MW.
New Delhi, November 3 — ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has commissioned an additional 66.68 MW of solar power capacity at its hybrid renewable energy project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The capacity has been commissioned through the company’s subsidiary ACME Renewtech Pvt Ltd. With the latest addition, the total operational capacity of the hybrid project has increased to 200.04 MW.
The company said the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the newly commissioned capacity is November 4, 2026.
The project is located at Kelan Village in Bikaner and is being developed as a hybrid renewable energy facility combining solar and wind power.
ACME Solar said the addition of wind capacity to the project will complement solar generation and help create a more diversified renewable energy generation profile.
Following the latest commissioning, ACME Solar’s overall operational capacity has increased to approximately 3,190 MW.
The company plans to progressively operationalise the project’s entire 300 MW solar component by the end of the third quarter of FY27.
The project has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Ltd at a tariff of ₹3.36 per kWh.
The latest capacity addition strengthens ACME Solar’s expanding renewable energy portfolio as the company focuses on developing diversified clean-energy solutions.
ACME Solar currently has a contracted portfolio of 8,370 MW across multiple renewable-energy technologies.
Its portfolio includes solar, wind, energy storage, Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) and hybrid projects.
Along with its operational generation capacity, the company has 5.64 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity.
Hybrid renewable projects are increasingly becoming important as India expands clean-energy capacity because combining solar and wind can provide a more balanced generation profile.
Energy-storage systems can further help manage fluctuations in renewable generation and improve the reliability of electricity supplied to the grid.
The Bikaner capacity addition is part of ACME Solar’s strategy to expand its operational renewable-energy portfolio while developing projects across multiple clean-energy technologies.
