Specialty chemicals manufacturer Epigral reported a 26.9% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹104 crore for the September quarter, supported by higher sales volumes and improved performance across its chemicals portfolio.
New Delhi, November 2 — Specialty chemicals company Epigral Ltd reported a 26.9% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹104 crore for the second quarter ended September 2026.
The company had reported a net profit of around ₹82 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Epigral’s performance during the quarter was supported by growth in sales volumes across its product portfolio.
The company manufactures a range of chlor-alkali and specialty chemical products used across several industries.
Its product portfolio includes caustic soda, chlorine derivatives and other value-added chemicals, giving the company exposure to multiple industrial sectors.
Epigral has been working to increase the contribution of its specialty chemicals and derivatives business, which forms an important part of its long-term growth strategy.
The company has also been expanding manufacturing capacity as it seeks to capture rising domestic demand and reduce India’s dependence on imported chemicals.
Demand for specialty chemicals is linked to industries ranging from pharmaceuticals and textiles to agrochemicals, construction and other manufacturing segments.
Epigral’s latest quarterly performance comes against the backdrop of changing raw-material costs and fluctuations in chemical prices.
Despite these challenges, higher volumes helped the company deliver strong year-on-year profit growth during the September quarter.
The company continues to focus on increasing the share of value-added products in its overall portfolio.
This strategy can help chemical manufacturers reduce their dependence on commodity products, where margins can fluctuate sharply depending on global supply and demand conditions.
Epigral is also betting on India’s growing manufacturing base to support demand for locally produced chemicals over the longer term.
Going forward, investors will monitor the company’s capacity expansion, product mix, sales volumes and chemical prices to assess whether the current earnings momentum can be sustained.
The 26.9% rise in quarterly profit indicates continued growth in Epigral’s operations as the company expands its presence in India’s specialty chemicals market.
