Transrail Lighting has secured new orders worth ₹927 crore across domestic and international markets, taking its total order intake for the year to ₹3,356 crore.
New Delhi, October 22 — Transrail Lighting Ltd has secured new orders worth ₹927 crore, mainly across the domestic and international power-transmission markets.
With these latest wins, the company’s total order intake for the year has increased to ₹3,356 crore.
The new contracts include major engineering, procurement and construction projects for 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines in India.
The order package also includes conductor supply contracts for the United States, strengthening Transrail’s international business.
Managing Director and CEO Randeep Narang said the company is focused on building a diversified business across both products and services.
He added that Transrail continues to benefit from a strong domestic presence while expanding its international operations.
Mumbai-based Transrail Lighting is primarily engaged in the power transmission and distribution sector.
Its core business includes the development of transmission infrastructure and supply of equipment used in electricity networks.
Apart from power transmission and distribution, the company also operates across civil infrastructure, railways, poles and lighting businesses.
The latest order wins underline continued investment in India’s high-voltage transmission infrastructure, particularly 765 kV and 400 kV networks.
Such projects are important for carrying large volumes of electricity across states and connecting new power-generation capacity with demand centres.
The US conductor-supply order also expands Transrail’s exposure to overseas markets and adds further diversity to its order book.
With total order intake now at ₹3,356 crore for the year, the latest contracts provide additional revenue visibility for the company’s transmission and engineering businesses.
