Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the three-day Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave 2026 at Bharat Mandapam on October 27, bringing together scientists, policymakers, startups and global experts across 12 technology themes.
New Delhi, October 26 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2026 on October 27 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address the gathering.
The three-day event will run from October 27 to October 29 and bring together leading scientists, researchers, academics, policymakers, industry leaders, startups and international experts.
The conclave will focus on India’s emerging science and technology priorities and how new research can be translated into practical applications.
Discussions will cover 12 thematic areas, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, advanced materials, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, climate and ocean sciences.
The event will also feature a large technology and innovation exhibition showcasing indigenous scientific achievements and emerging technologies.
Around 150 deep-tech startup stalls are expected to participate, highlighting products and technologies with applications across multiple sectors.
The exhibition will include technology demonstrations, thematic videos, documentaries, information kiosks and augmented and virtual reality experiences to help visitors engage with scientific developments in a more interactive way.
A major new initiative at this year’s conclave will be the Global Connect Networking Event.
More than 300 participants from academia, research institutions and industry in India and abroad are expected to take part.
The networking platform is designed to encourage international research partnerships, industry-academia collaboration and pathways for taking innovations from laboratories to commercial markets.
The conclave is part of a wider effort to strengthen coordination across India’s science, technology and innovation ecosystem.
Earlier announcements around ESTIC 2026 highlighted participation by prominent global scientists, including Nobel laureates, and a focus on fields such as quantum communication, semiconductors, synthetic biology, robotics, generative and autonomous AI, agri-tech and space science.
The government expects the event to create stronger links between researchers, startups, industry and policymakers, while showcasing India’s expanding deep-tech capabilities.
