Apple’s First Foldable iPhone Duo Goes on Sale in India
New Delhi, October 23, 2026: Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, officially went on sale in India on Friday, attracting customers to the company’s Saket store in New Delhi. Technology enthusiasts visited the store to experience Apple’s new foldable design and explore its features.
The launch marks Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone market, where it will compete with established players such as Samsung.
iPhone Duo Price in India
The iPhone Duo starts at ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB variant, making it one of Apple’s most expensive smartphones.
The 512GB model is priced at ₹3,24,900, while the 1TB version costs ₹3,74,900. The top-end 2TB variant carries a price tag of ₹4,49,900.
The device is available in two colour options: Night Sky and Star White.
First Week’s Stock Already Pre-Booked
The foldable iPhone has received a strong response from Indian consumers. According to reports, the company’s entire first-week inventory was booked before sales officially began.
Apple’s retail stores in Saket, New Delhi, and BKC, Mumbai, recorded particularly strong pre-booking demand.
However, limited initial inventory means customers visiting stores may not be able to purchase the device immediately without a confirmed pickup reservation.
Foldable Display and Premium Features
The iPhone Duo features a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch foldable inner screen, allowing users to switch between a compact smartphone and a larger display.
According to Apple, the unfolded screen is approximately 50% larger than the display on the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The smartphone also features Apple’s A20 Pro chip and a dual 48MP rear camera system, targeting premium customers seeking advanced performance and multitasking capabilities.
Apple Targets India’s Premium Smartphone Market
The launch of the iPhone Duo is expected to intensify competition in India’s premium foldable smartphone segment.
Market analysts believe Apple’s entry could attract existing iPhone customers looking for a foldable device, although its high price may limit mass-market adoption.
With strong pre-booking demand and growing interest in premium smartphones, the iPhone Duo represents a significant expansion of Apple’s product portfolio in India
