Mumbai: Leading motorcycle manufacturers, including Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor Company and Hero MotoCorp, are offering festive discounts and promotional benefits worth up to ₹11,000 to attract customers, despite increasing motorcycle prices over the past year.
The discounts come as manufacturers attempt to sustain demand during the festive season while managing higher production costs caused by rising raw material prices.
According to a report by Business Standard, TVS Motor’s premium Raider motorcycle, which was priced at ₹95,600 a year ago, now costs ₹1,03,170, reflecting an increase of nearly 8%. Despite the price hike, the company is advertising savings of up to ₹11,000 for eligible customers.
Hero and Bajaj Announce Festive Benefits
Hero MotoCorp is offering a listed cashback bonus of up to ₹10,000 on its Xtreme 160R motorcycle.
Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto has introduced combined festive benefits ranging from ₹6,000 to ₹8,900 on several Pulsar models.
The Pulsar 125 comes with benefits worth ₹6,000, while the NS125 offers ₹6,200 and the Pulsar 150 provides ₹7,200 in promotional savings.
Bajaj has also announced benefits of ₹7,500 on the N160 and NS160, ₹7,900 on the N250, ₹8,000 on the NS200 and ₹8,900 on the RS200.
These offers include a combination of cash discounts, processing-fee waivers and free servicing.
Motorcycle Prices Rise Amid Higher Costs
Motorcycle manufacturers have been increasing prices because of rising input costs.
Bajaj Auto previously indicated that steel costs had increased by approximately 15%, while copper prices had risen by around 20%.
However, the company has recovered only about 40% of the additional cost burden through price increases.
TVS Motor Company also reported that pricing adjustments had offset roughly one-third of commodity inflation. It increased prices across much of its portfolio in August and raised Raider prices again in October by up to ₹2,600.
Hero MotoCorp has also implemented price increases averaging approximately ₹2,000 per vehicle.
Two-Wheeler Sales Jump 33% in September
Despite rising prices, India’s two-wheeler market recorded strong growth during the festive period.
According to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), two-wheeler retail sales increased 33.1% to 17.90 lakh units in September 2026.
The increase has encouraged manufacturers to introduce additional promotional offers to maintain sales momentum beyond the festive season.
Discounts Available Until October 31
TVS Motor’s advertised Raider savings are conditional and include financing offers that vary by location and customer eligibility.
TVS Credit is separately promoting interest rates starting at 5.99% on eligible models.
Hero MotoCorp’s Xtreme 125R also carries a listed bonus of up to ₹3,000, alongside roadside assistance on eligible online bookings.
Most festive promotional offers are scheduled to expire on October 31, although the underlying motorcycle price increases will remain in place.
