Jio Platforms Valued at ₹12.5 Lakh Crore
At its listing price, Jio Platforms achieved a market capitalisation of approximately ₹12.5 lakh crore. The combined valuation of Reliance Industries and Jio Platforms alone reached ₹28.7 lakh crore, exceeding the total market value of Tata Group’s listed companies by around ₹3.1 lakh crore.
The listing also placed Reliance Industries and Jio Platforms as India’s first and second most valuable listed companies, respectively, by market capitalisation.
Another significant milestone was Jio Platforms’ shareholder base. According to the company, it has approximately 79.8 lakh shareholders, making it the listed company with the highest number of shareholders in India.
Ambani Family Attends NSE Listing Ceremony
A traditional bell-ringing ceremony was organised at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Mumbai to mark Jio Platforms’ listing.
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani attended the event alongside Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani and Anant Ambani.
Addressing the gathering, Jio Platforms Managing Director Akash Ambani described the listing as the beginning of a new journey rather than the completion of an existing one.
He emphasised the company’s commitment to transparent communication, fulfilling promises and earning shareholders’ trust through performance.
Reliance Strengthens Its Market Leadership
Jio Platforms’ stock market debut has significantly reshaped the ranking of India’s largest business groups.
The comparison is based on the combined market capitalisation of listed companies belonging to each conglomerate. Notably, Jio Financial Services has been excluded from Reliance Group’s market capitalisation calculation.
