The increase reflects the growth in Jio Platforms’ valuation ahead of its public market debut.

Jio IPO Price Band and Opening Date
Jio Platforms has fixed its IPO price band between ₹1,065 and ₹1,119 per equity share.
The public issue is scheduled to open on October 21 and close on October 23.
The IPO is expected to attract strong attention from domestic and international investors because of Jio’s position in India’s telecommunications and digital services markets.
Why Meta and Google Invested in Jio
The investments were made during Reliance Industries’ 2020 fundraising drive, which brought major global technology companies and financial investors into Jio Platforms.
Meta partnered with Jio to explore opportunities in digital commerce and connectivity, while Google’s investment supported collaboration on affordable smartphones and digital services.
The partnerships were designed to expand access to digital technology and strengthen Jio’s position in India’s rapidly growing internet economy.
IPO Could Strengthen Jio’s Growth Plans
The IPO structure will allow Jio Platforms to raise fresh capital while providing an opportunity for existing shareholders to sell part of their holdings.
The company is expected to use the public listing to strengthen its financial position and support future expansion.
For Meta and Google, the IPO will provide a publicly traded valuation benchmark for investments made in 2020.
The listing could also attract greater investor attention to India’s digital economy and technology sector.
