Audi India Sees Growth Revival in 2027 as New Q3 SUV Launches at ₹51.99 Lakh
Audi India expects its sales to remain largely unchanged in 2026 but is optimistic about returning to growth in 2027. The German luxury carmaker believes that new product launches and rising demand for premium vehicles will support its business in the coming years.
Speaking to Financial Express during the launch of the new Audi Q3, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, described 2026 as a transitional year for the company.
He said Audi expects sales for the full year to remain broadly flat, with growth anticipated from 2027.
New Audi Q3 Launched at ₹51.99 Lakh
Audi has introduced the latest generation of its Q3 SUV in India at a starting price of ₹51.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new SUV comes with updated styling, advanced digital technology and quattro all-wheel-drive capability.
According to Dhillon, the initial customer response has been encouraging, with the company receiving a strong order book ahead of deliveries.
Audi expects the new Q3 to attract first-time luxury car buyers while encouraging existing customers to upgrade their vehicles.
The Q3 has been an important model for Audi in India, with as many as 26,000 units sold in the country so far.
Luxury Car Market Faces Pricing Pressure
Despite the challenges, Audi remains confident about the long-term potential of India’s luxury car market.
Dhillon said rising aspirations and replacement demand continue to support the premium vehicle segment.
However, currency depreciation has increased costs for luxury carmakers, resulting in higher vehicle prices and putting pressure on customer affordability.
These factors are expected to limit sales growth in the near term.
Audi Records Strong September Sales
Customer interest in Audi vehicles remains encouraging despite the challenging market conditions.
September 2026 recorded the company’s second-highest monthly sales figure during the first nine months of the year.
Audi believes that the launch of new models and improvements in its product portfolio will help strengthen demand.
Audi A5 and Q9 SUV Coming in 2027
Audi is preparing a wider portfolio renewal strategy for the Indian market.
The company plans to introduce the A5 sedan in the first half of 2027, followed by the flagship Q9 SUV in the second half.
The upcoming Q9 will sit above the Q7 in Audi’s SUV lineup and target customers looking for larger and more luxurious vehicles.
With these upcoming launches, Audi aims to attract new customers, strengthen its presence in the luxury vehicle segment and return to sales growth from 2027.
