Net Profit Jumps 66%
Apple India’s net profit rose sharply by 66.2% to ₹5,311 crore in FY26, compared with ₹3,196 crore in the previous financial year.
The increase in profitability outpaced revenue growth, indicating improved financial performance and stronger demand for higher-value products.
The company also increased its dividend payout to ₹3,266 crore in FY26 from ₹2,847 crore in FY25, reflecting its growing business scale in the Indian market.
iPhone Sales Drive Strong Growth
Strong demand for iPhones remained a major contributor to Apple’s financial performance.
Apple’s sales volume growth accelerated to 24% in FY26, compared with 11% in FY25, highlighting the company’s expanding presence in India’s premium smartphone segment.
The shift towards higher-priced smartphones has supported Apple’s revenue growth even as competition remains intense across the broader Indian smartphone market.
Consumers are increasingly exploring premium devices with advanced cameras, powerful processors and improved software features.
Retail Expansion Supports Business
Apple’s expanding retail operations and distribution partnerships have also contributed to its growth in India.
The company continues to strengthen its presence through authorised resellers, online platforms and physical retail stores.
According to the report, Apple’s financial performance was supported by its business operations and a strong distribution ecosystem.
Its largest competitor locally, Samsung, recorded an 11.4% decline in mobile phone revenue to ₹81,479 crore in the last financial year, according to the newspaper report.
India Becomes an Important Market for Apple
India has emerged as an increasingly important market for Apple as demand for premium smartphones continues to rise.
The company’s strong revenue and profit growth demonstrates its ability to attract customers despite operating in a highly competitive and price-sensitive market.
With increasing consumer interest in premium devices, expanding retail accessibility and continued investment in India, Apple is positioned to strengthen its presence further.
However, future growth will depend on consumer spending, competition, product pricing and the company’s ability to sustain demand for premium smartphones
