At the recent AGM, Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s richest man and chairman of Reliance Industries, underscored the company’s focus on long-term growth rather than short-term profits. This year, AI emerged as the central theme, with Ambani highlighting its potential to address complex human challenges. He hinted at another transformative moment for India, similar to the impact of Jio, by pledging to deliver advanced AI models and services at the most affordable prices.
Ambani asserted that Reliance has transformed into a deep-tech company, becoming a net producer of technology. He envisions Reliance creating the world’s lowest AI inferencing costs, propelling the company into a new phase of hyper-growth and securing its place among the global top 30 companies in the near future.
The launch of Jio Brain marks a significant leap in AI adoption across Reliance. This comprehensive suite of tools and platforms will enable faster decision-making, more accurate predictions, and deeper customer insights, driving innovation across the company and beyond.
Jio’s “AI Everywhere For Everyone” initiative aims to democratize AI in India. By establishing AI-ready data centers in Jamnagar powered by Reliance’s green energy, Jio plans to make AI applications more accessible and affordable. Leveraging its extensive experience in infrastructure, operations, and global collaborations, Jio is set to revolutionize AI accessibility in India.
To kickstart this vision, Ambani announced the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer, which provides Jio users with up to 100 GB of free cloud storage starting Diwali, with additional storage available at competitive prices. This move reflects Jio’s commitment to making AI-powered services truly inclusive and accessible to everyone.
