Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Tuesday, while addressing the Future Investment Initiative 2019 in Riyadh, extended an invitation to Saudi companies to invest in India’s energy space. He said that the government has set a target of US$ 100 billion investment in the sector by 2024. In the infrastructure sector alone, the government aims to have an investment of US$ 1.5 trillion in the next five years, the minister added. He also pointed out that the country’s ranking has significantly improved in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business, Logistic Performance Index and Innovation Index.
