Thanks to the surging garment exports, India & Poland became major export destinations for Bangladesh, in addition to 9 other economies in 2018-19. According to the data collated by Export Promotion Bureau, Bangladesh’s export income from India in the first ten months (July-April period) of FY’19 amounted to US$ 1.07 billion, 52.98% higher than earnings collected during the same period in FY’18 (US$ 701.56 million). Seen as an unconventional export market, India presents vast scope to Bangladesh in terms of the exports of non-traditional products.
