Elevate 2024: Boosting Karnataka’s startup ecosystem

Karnataka’s Elevate 2024 initiative has selected 101 startups, providing a total of ₹25 crore in seed funding this year. Of these, 42 startups are led by women, while 36 originate from outside Bengaluru, reflecting the program’s focus on inclusivity and regional expansion.

IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, “The Elevate 2024 initiative marks a significant milestone in our continued effort to position Karnataka as a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship.” The state government aims to rank among the top three global startup ecosystems, and Elevate plays a crucial role in achieving this vision.

Since its inception, the IT-BT department’s Elevate program has disbursed ₹249 crore, supporting 1,084 startups. Women entrepreneurs lead 25% of these startups, while 30% are from beyond Bengaluru, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering innovation across the state.

By offering financial assistance and mentorship, Elevate continues to drive Karnataka’s startup growth, ensuring opportunities reach beyond the metropolitan hubs. With a strong focus on diversity and regional participation, the program plays a key role in strengthening Karnataka’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
