Country Delight, a direct-to-consumer dairy brand, has entered the quick commerce market, aiming to reduce delivery time to 10-15 minutes in the NCR and beyond. The company raised US$ 44 million in funding in 2024, including Series E and debt financing, and earned Rs 1,380 crore in FY24.
Country Delight, a direct-to-consumer dairy and daily needs business, is the latest entrant into the 10-15 minute delivery area. According to a source, the Gurugram-based company has begun speedy delivery in select sections of the NCR and plans to expand to other cities shortly.
The company currently offers a quick delivery service, which delivers dairy items to consumers within 30-40 minutes of making their order.
According to a corporate spokesman, this service has been live for several months and is constantly developing to lower the time to 10-15 minutes. The company began operations in 2013, primarily selling milk on a subscription basis. It gradually expanded into other dairy products and, by 2021, listed kitchen essentials to improve penetration.
In January, the company raised US$ 20 million in Series E fundraising, valuing it at approximately Rs 820 million. In October, Alteria Capital provided them with another US$ 24 million in debt.
In FY24, the company, which operates in 25 locations, earned Rs 1,380 crore. In FY23, its income was anticipated to be around Rs 900 crore.
Tata-owned BigBasket, one of the company’s closest competitors, has declared a change away from slot-based deliveries and towards 10-minute deliveries.
According to Hari Menon, CEO and co-founder of BigBasket, “We’re not eliminating slotted delivery, but making quick commerce the default option.”Country Delight joins the race for 10-minute deliveries
